William Spivey Rehabilitation Services Manager Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy and Speech Therapy are offered through this department. Care is delivered to inpatients of the hospital, residents of the Long Term Care Unit, and Home Health patients. The therapists also maintain a busy schedule with "outpatients" (non-hospitalized patients), assisting in their recoveries from injuries and illness. Most outpatient services are now offered at Oceanside Therapy Center, a spacious newly remodeled facility overlooking the harbor. Our therapists are certified and licensed to provide specialized care in several areas, including Wound Care, Lymphedema Therapy, Cardio Rehab & Stress Testing, Nerve Conduction Testing, Urinary Incontinence Therapy, Orthotics Fitting, and training in Sports Injury Prevention. The Rehab Services Team is active with the Schools' athletics programs and provides "field treatment" during wrestling matches, basketball and volleyball tournaments. |
